We are a construction and landscaping company and we are always looking for great talent to join our team.  We are currently looking for Landscaping Foreman for the upcoming season.

Job Summary:

 

Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Foreman is responsible for performing a variety of manual labour duties to assist the Landscaping team on the worksite.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Responsible for the smooth running of the onsite jobs, including the materials, staff, safety and work environment.

• Responsible for communicating with the customer whilst on site

• Preparing change orders 

• Responsible for time tracking staff at job site and submitting the information

• Load, unload and move materials around the worksite

• May be responsible for digging, spreading and levelling of dirt and gravel

• General clean up - Clean tools, equipment, materials and job sites

• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour

• Be aware of surroundings at all times

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task

• Protect and promote the interest of this company in all matters and to take actions as required to satisfy such responsibilities

• Ensure safety of fellow employees

• Perform other duties as assigned

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of work related job experience in the landscaping industry

• Work experience with interlock, natural stone, retaining walls, sod, plants & trees

• Ability to follow a work schedule as directed by supervisor;

• Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks e.g. wheelbarrow, shovelling, running equipment.

• Working in an outdoor environment

• Be a teamplayer.

• Have a positive attitude

• Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner;

• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed properly;

• Working safely is a condition of employment.

• Arrive on time for work, be presentable.
